SLIP/PPP (PC):  Getting Chameleon to work with Windows for Workgroups


Q.  What's the secret to get Chameleon to work under WFWG?  

A.  "There's no secret, really," says NetManage's technical support
    department.  They recommend looking at the following things:

    1. Make sure that WFWG 3.11 is using the NDIS II/III drivers (Not NDIS
       III only). Check this under network setup.

    2. No protman.dos or netmanag.dos loading in the config.sys

    3. No netbind in autoexec.

    4. Netmanage section in the \Windows\protocol.ini file with appropriate
       bindings=

    5. Under network drivers in the sys.ini file. the transport= line must
       include the path to netmanag.dos

    6. RMA drivers=yes
